Tempi rapidi, opere importanti. La sede dell’Autorità di Sistema Portuale del Mar Tirreno Settentrionale ha avviato una serie di interventi infrastrutturali che interesseranno progressivamente i porti dell’isola d’Elba, con l’obiettivo di agevolare l’accessibilità e la mobilità. A Rio Marina, ad esempio, si sta lavorando alla predisposizione del progetto definitivo ed esecutivo, in attesa della valutazione di impatto ambientale già inviata al Ministero dell’Ambiente. L’intervento, che potrà partire non appena il Ministero competente rilascerà il nullaosta, prevede l’ampliamento della banchina di attracco per traghetti e passeggeri, il potenziamento delle aree di imbarco, una dente di attracco in ampliamento e la realizzazione di un’area di attesa per i veicoli, pari alla massima capienza del traghetto. È prevista inoltre la realizzazione di una barriera antirisacca per smorzare il moto ondoso interno al bacino, mentre in accordo con l’amministrazione comunale, sarà realizzata la ristrutturazione di un edificio adiacente alla banchina da adibire a sede di associazioni ed altri ETS, con l’obiettivo di rafforzare il legame tra porto e comunità.

The Upper Tyrrhenian Port Authority is planning major structural work in Elba’s harbours that will facilitate transport by improving accessibility and mobility. In Rio Marina, for example, preparations are under way for the final project plan, while awaiting the outcome of the environmental impact assessment, which has already been submitted to the Ministry for the Environment. The works will begin as soon as the environmental assessment permits are issued. For a start, the work includes the widening of the breakwater quay for cars and passengers entering and leaving the ferry as well as the construction of a waiting area for boarding. In agreement with the municipality, the work would also include the renovation of a building adjacent to the quay to use as a headquarters for the associations to strengthen relations with the community.

Die Hafenbehörde des nördlichen Tyrrhenischen Meeres plant umfassende bauliche Maßnahmen an den Häfen der Insel Elba, um Transportabläufe, Zugänglichkeit und Mobilität zu verbessern. In Rio Marina wird derzeit der endgültige und ausführungsreife Entwurf vorbereitet, während das Umweltverträglichkeitsverfahren, das bereits beim Umweltministerium eingereicht wurde, noch geprüft wird. Die Arbeiten beginnen nach Abschluss des Umweltverträglichkeitsverfahrens. Im Mittelpunkt der Maßnahmen steht die Erweiterung des Wellenbrechers, um die Ein- und Ausfahrt von Fahrzeugen und Passagieren der Fähren zu erleichtern. Vorgesehen ist auch die Einrichtung eines Wartebereichs für Passagiere und Fahrzeuge vor der Abfahrt. In Abstimmung mit der Gemeinde soll ein angrenzendes Gebäude saniert und für gemeindenahe Zwecke genutzt werden.
