Dalla pesca sostenibile promossa in diverse aree costiere alla crescente attenzione per la protezione della biodiversità marina, dalle iniziative di turismo responsabile che valorizzano le comunità locali alla cooperazione interinsulare per affrontare le sfide del cambiamento climatico, il festival sarà un’occasione per proporre modelli replicabili su scala più ampia. Uno degli aspetti centrali sarà il concetto di “cura reciproca”: il mare ci dà tanto, ma mantenerlo vivo richiede un impegno collettivo. In the heart of the Mediterranean where the sea does not divide but unites, SEIF 2025 is taking shape, the festival that from 27 to 29 June will once more be telling the tales of the bond between people and the marine environment, focusing on the value of Mediterranean communities. This will be done through a series of meetings, debates, educational activities and moments of environmental volunteering, highlighting positive examples of cooperation between coastal territories and local concerns that have found the key to building a sustainable future in their link with the sea. Many of the challenges that the Mediterranean is facing are shared by SEIF: from sustainable fishing to the protection of marine biodiversity, from responsible tourism that enhances local communities to inter-island cooperation to tackle the challenges of climate change. One of the central aspects will be the concept of “caring for each other”: the sea gives us so much, but keeping it alive requires a collective commitment. The safeguarding of water, environmental education and innovation in development models will be told through the voices of experts, researchers, artists and members of coastal communities. A Festival of culture and participation: activities will be suggested that will involve the public in positive actions for the protection of the marine environment, educational trails for schools and spaces dedicated to art and culture, with shows, screenings and installations inspired by the theme of the sea as a place of encounter and shared growth. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Beziehung zwischen Mensch und Meer sowie der Wert mediterraner Gemeinschaften. Das Programm umfasst Vorträge, Diskussionen, Bildungsangebote und Umweltaktionen. Es zeigt gelungene Kooperationen zwischen Küstengebieten und lokalen Akteuren, die mithilfe ihrer Beziehung zum Meer nachhaltige Zukunftsmodelle entwickeln.
